The Ins And Outs of How We Do Business
-
Will my carpet or upholstery smell during or after the cleaning process? If your carpet is 100% wool, or wool mixed with man made fibres, it may smell during and after our cleaning process. This is normal and will disappear between 1-5 days although normally one day. Keep the area as aired as possible and do not be tempted to put any powders, perfumes, or chemicals on top of your carpet. If you have inherited your carpets when you moved in, we do not know what lies in your carpets. For example, cat urine (from the previous tenants), which could begin to smell during the cleaning process. This also includes stains which have been treated with stain removers in the past that may reappear during our cleaning process. Upholstery generally does not smell at all.
-
Do I need to vacuum the carpet or upholstery before you arrive? For optimal results, your carpets should be free of loose dirt and debris. Some other carpet cleaning companies do ask that you vacuum before their arrival. At DCW Cleaning Services the pre vacuuming is all part of the clean!
-
How long will it take for our carpets or upholstery to dry?Because most of the rinse water is then quickly extracted, your carpets and upholstery are generally left around 80% dry. Depending on factors such as the time of year, ventilation and heat in the property, they will usually take between 1 to 4 hours to completely dry.
-
Do all stains come out of the carpets/upholstery?We cannot guarantee every stain will come out of your carpet or upholstery, but we always try our best! What we can guarantee is they will be thoroughly deep cleaned, and all dirt will be removed. The hot water extraction method is the best method for removing stains, ground in dirt, and odours. Even tough to remove stains like chocolate, mud or pet deposits can be removed. We always give you advice and expected results before any work is started.
-
Do you move the furniture? We can move certain items of furniture, but are limited due to health and safety legislation. As such, if you have any items of furniture that you definitely need moved, it is best to do this prior to our arrival, for example, wardrobes, large sofas or beds. We are happy to help move certain items or move, clean, move back if possible.
-
How do I pay?You can pay for our services by cash, with a card or though a bank transfer on the same day our services are completed.
-
Can you clean a rug?We clean most kinds of rugs. Depending on the fibre and pile of the rug, we can advise you on the best method of cleaning. Certain vegetable fibre rugs (e.g. Sisal, Seagrass, Coir, Jute) cannot be cleaned using our HWE method.
